Are you ready for the next bend?

The Next Bend.

I’m a frustrated poet. I love to play with words and put them together in the most creative way I can. Sometime in 2007, I was able to write one after I’ve experienced a turbulent time. It was so emotional but I guess I managed to get through it. I also believe it’s not dwelling in our misfortune that counts.

Rather, it’s our ability to leave the pain behind. We get sick and tired so many times and more often than not we don’t know what to do. So here’s a poem that I made for myself when I needed someone to advise me.

Some roads are rough, some are smooth
Some lead you straight, some lead you astray
But one thing is so sure you can’t have them both
Be wise to choose for at the end there’s a fruit.

Moments in life are times being spent
For whatever purpose it’s up for us to guess
We choose to do, we choose to not do
In times of pains, we just choose to let go.

For there will always be turns and bends
In a highway of life, of love, and of loving
But one truth remains unshaken
Bends are opportunities we miss to see so often.

You can be your own adviser. If you’re in pain or you have a problem, the answer can just be inside you.

Yes, you can talk to people about it but most of the time; we only hear what we want to hear. We don’t really listen. Feel the highway of life. Feel the pain, the sorrows, and the disgusts.

But please don’t let them kill you. You have a life to live and you can choose to see your bends as opportunities that many people often fail to see.
