UST, UE suspend classes

After heavy rains Monday night, classes at the University of Santo Tomas were suspended Tuesday.

In the web, UST Varsitarian, the official student publication of the University of Sto. Tomas, tweets “Classes in all levels are suspended today, September 11. However, there is regular office work.”

Thousands of students were stranded at the university Monday night due to floods caused by heavy rains. Only a few vehicles braved the floods but other transportation utilities such as jeepneys opted not to take passengers.

Meanwhile, the University of the East Manila and Caloocan have also suspended classes in their preschool, elementary and highschool levels as announced by President Ester Garcia.
